Call to Order The meeting was called to order at4:O2 p.ffi., with Jeff Piecewicz presiding. 2. Roll Call Carmen Goers - Present Lew Sellers - Present Randall Smith - Present Jeff Piecewicz - Present Greg Haffner - Present 3. Changes to the Aqenda None. Goers moved to approve the agenda as presented, seconded by Lew Sellers. Motion passed with a vote of 5-0. 4. Aooroval of Minutes dated May 15, 2O19 Lew Sellers moved to approve the minutes dated May 16, 20t9, seconded by Randall Smith. The Motion passed unanimously with a vote of 5-0. 5. Election to Fill Chair Vacancv Fitzpatrick discussed the chair vacancy and the procedural process to nominate and elect a chair, Lew Sellers moved to nominate Greg Haffner as the Chair for the Public Facilities District Board, seconded by Carmen Goers. Update on Reaooointment of Lew Sellers to Position No. 5 Fitzpatrick noted that the reappointment of Lew Sellers to Position No. 5 of the Public Facilities District will be confirmed by Council and he offered his congratulations to Sellers. 7. Financial ReportsA. City of Kent. City of Kent Senior Financial Analyst Shane Sorenson reviewed the financial reports included in the agenda packet. B. accesso ShoWare Center. Arletta Voter provided details of the accesso ShoWare Center Income Statement Second Quarter Comparison for 2OL8-2O19, including direct event income, ancillary income, other event income, other operating income, indirect expenses, net income from operations, admission tax and net income. 8. Operations Uodate a. General Manager Update. Higgins advised the accesso ShoWare Center hosted 23 graduations over the course of 15 days. This included the addition of the Federal Way high schools. He also discussed the positive impact from food and beverage sales during these events. Higgins discussed rebranding of the concessions and new carpeting coming in third quarter. b. Marketing Upllate. Spreitzer provided a detailed marketing update and reviewed statistics for the website, social media and email marketing. Higgins and Spreitzer both provided details about the Seattle University basketball games for 2019-2020 and 202O-2O2L seasons being played at accesso Showare Center. Higgins noted one game a month will be played at accesso Showare Center. c City of Kent Update. No update was provided. 9. Seattle Thunderbirds Update Thunderbirds General Manager, Colin Campbell discussed an increase in renewals for the upcoming season, and how we're only in the midst of the off-season. Information was provided regarding season ticket sales, suite sales and corporate partnerships. Campbell was excited to discuss Beacon Plumbing as a new corporate partner. Campbell provided details regarding single game ticket sales in August as well as the start of training camp on August 19th. Campbell noted the promotions to grow hockey in the Pacific Northwest by NHL Seattle and how beneficial it has been and will be for the Thunderbirds. Other Business None. 11. Adjournment Sellers moved to adjourn the meeting and Randall Smith seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously with a vote of 5-0.
