1. Call to Order/Roll Call:
Commission Chair Minutoli called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.
2. Changes to Agenda:
Change in order of presentation by Deputy Director Levenhagen.
3. Minutes dated June 25, 2019:
Approved with friendly changes.
4. Welcome New Commissioners
New Commissioners introduced themselves.
5. August 27, 2019, Meeting Options:
Decision made to have a tour of Kent Parks/Projects August 27 instead of the
scheduled Commission meeting.
6. Park & Open Space Plan – Potential Recreational Value of Properties:
Deputy Director Levenhagen provided Commissioners with a handout listing all
Kent Parks including recreational values. No actions or decisions made.
7. Kronisch Property Land Surplus
SEPA, Conditional use Hearing approved the use of the Kronisch property for a
water tower and will be going to Public Works Committee on August 5 then to
Parks & Human Services Committee on August 15, and City Council on August
20. Commission decided to mobilize and “ask” for fair compensation for loss of
Park property to City Council and Mayor.
8. 2019-2020 Mid Biennium Budget Process Update

Tim Brown of downtown Gowe Street commented with his support of Vice-Chair
Sieger on approach to Item #7 asking for fair compensation for loss of Park
property.
