I found that I thought the job would be different than what it actually was. I found the schedules to put a severe strain on my family relationship. I also had no experience in the police field and did not know what to expect. I found the job to be very exciting in the beginning, but as of this last FTO block I found myself not excited for the job anymore, I do not want to become a burned out officer that does not care about the call and do not want myself or another the be hurt because of lack of excitement. lt took much discussion with the family and close friends to come to this decision. I want to thank you and the department for giving me the opportunity to become a police officer. I will miss the department and the atmosphere that is created there. Thank You, J.
