Aooroval of the Minutes Commissioner Zaratkiewicz made a mot¡on to approve the minutes from the December 18, 2019 Special Civil Service Commission meeting. Motion was seconded by Chair Piecewicz; motion passed 2-O, 5. Consent ltems to Accept A. Letter from Chief Padilla congratulating Natalie Zieber on being hired as a Probationary Lateral Corrections Officer effective January 2,2O2O.B. Letter dated December 18, 2019 from Chief Padilla to Code Enforcement Officer Laine Farr notifying him that he successfully completed the probationary period and is appointed to regular employment status effective November t6,2019. Commissioner Zaratkiewicz seconded the motion; motion passed 2-O. 6. ltems to Aoprove A, Eligibility list for Parking Enforcement Assistant that was established on December L2,2OL9.B. Eligibility list for Police Records Specialist that was established on December L7, 20L9. C, Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Lateral/Experienced Police Officer that was established on December L8,2OL9. D. Memo dated January !5,2020 from A/C Jarod Kasner requesting permission to test for the rank of Sergeant and that the following process and weights be applied: Written Exam- 70olo passing score required, final weight of 20olo Work Performance Rating (WPR)- 70olo passing score required, final weight of 40o/o The top 12 from the written and WPR will continue on to the assessment center The assessment center will consist of four exercises and will have a cumulative passing score of 7Ùo/o required and will have a final weight of 40o/o Chief Examiner Winecka noted that the testing process was different from what has been used in the past for testing at th¡s rank level with the difference being the use of the WPR. There being no additional questions, Chair Piecewicz made a motion to accept the promotional testing for Sergeant and approve the weights as Iisted. Revision to rule 8.04 in regard to age requirements of entry level Corrections Officers Chief Examiner Winecka noted that the age needed to be amended in order to be in compliance with the age required to be armed. The request was also made that the rule amendment go into effect immediately. Chair Piecewicz made a motion to amend rule 8.O4 as written. commissioner Zaratkiewicz seconded the motion; mot¡on passed 2-o. 8. For the Good of the Order 9.
