As a result of the new contract that was negotiated with the AFSCME union, Corrections Officers going forward will be armed. Consequently, the age at time of application needs to increase. The proposed new language is as follows: Rule 8.04 d.Police Corrections Officer Must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resid language.
