7, Amendment Purposes
The purposes of this amendment are to (1)change the permissible uses of grant funds, pursuant to
section 4.1 of the Grant Agreement; and (2) modify the reporting requirements of section 5 of the Grant
Agreement.
Grantee agrees to use the grant funds forthe following purposes associated with making improvements
to public defense representation of Indigent defendants:
a. Adding investigator services;
b. Adding interpreter services for attorney-client meetings;and
c. Funding evaluations of defendants for sentencing options, such as drug and alcohol evaluations.
In addition, Grantee agrees to submit a written report to OPD by October 15, 2016 which shall
document the amount of grantfunds used to date,what the funds were used for,and (if applicable)
how the City anticipates using remaining grant Funds by December 31, 2016.
8. OPD and Grantee hereby agree to the changes described in section 7 of this Amendment,which
modify sections 4.1 and 5 of the Grant Agreement. All other terms and conditions remain in full force
and effect.
