Call to Order Chair Piecewicz called the meeting to order at 5:33 PM 2. Roll Call All Commissioners were present. 3. Changes to the Agenda There were no changes to the agenda. 4. Approval of the Minutes Commissioner Thomas made a motion to approve the minutes from the October 28, 2020 Civil Service Commission meeting. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Zaratkiewicz; motion passed 3-0. 5. Consent Items to Accept A. Letter dated October 28, 2020 from Chief Padilla to Dzung Lam congratulating him on being hired as a Probationary Police Recruit Officer effective November 16, 2020. B. Letter dated October 29, 2020 from Chief Padilla to Isaac Hegamin congratulating him on being hired as a Probationary Police Recruit Officer effective November 16, 2020. C. Letter dated November 1, 2020 notifying Ofr. Max Neumann that he successfully completed the probationary period and is appointed to regular employment status a Police Officer effective November 1, 2020. D. Memo dated Eligibility list removals through November 12, 2020. There being no questions, Commissioner Zaratkiewicz made a motion to accept consent items A-D. Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Lateral/Experienced Police Officer that was established on October 29, 2020. There being no questions, Chair Piecewicz made a motion to approve item A. Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0. 7. Action Items A. Memo dated November 12, 2020 from Chief Padilla requesting to test for the position of Records Specialist and that the following process and weights be applied: Computer-based Assessment- 100% (70% passing score required) Background- Pass/Fail Polygraph- Pass/Fail Commissioner Zaratkiewicz asked if this was the same process that has been used in the past and Chief Examiner Winecka explained that the department requested a change to the testing method/weights last time we tested for the position in late 2019 and this process and associated weight(s) are the same as that process. There being no other questions, Chair Piecewicz made a motion to accept as presented the memo requesting to test for the position of Records Specialist with the process and weights proposed. Commissioner Zaratkiewicz seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0. 8. For the Good of the Order Chief Examiner Winecka reminded the Commission that the December will be held on the third Wednesday of the month (December 16) rather than the regularly scheduled fourth Wednesday. 9. Adjournment Chair Piecewicz made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Zaratkiewicz seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0. Meeting was adjourned at 5:37 PM.
