The Meeting of the Civil Service Commission was called to order at 5:40 p.m. by Chair Zaratkiewicz. 2. Commissioners present: C. Zaratkiewicz and J. Piecewicz (P. Thomas arranged absence) 3. There were no changes to the agenda 4. Commissioner Piecewicz moved to approve the minutes, dated June 22, 2016, seconded by Chair Zaratkiewicz. Motion carried 2-0. 5. Consent Items to Accept: There being no questions, Chair Zaratkiewicz moved to accept Items A through M, seconded by Commissioner Piecewicz. Motion carried 2-0. A. Letters dated June 17, 2016 from Chief Examiner Winecka to Police Officer candidates Douglas Cetina and Nicholle Shelton notifying them that their names have been removed from the Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Entry Level Police Officer effective June 17, 2016. B. Letters dated June 17, 2016 from Chief Examiner Winecka to Corrections Officer candidates Trusten Brown and Laszlo Kelloes notifying them that their names have been removed from the Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Entry Level Corrections Officer effective June 17, 2016. C. Letter dated July 1, 2016 from Chief Thomas to Ofr. Jeffrey Reeves notifying him that he successfully completed the probationary period and is appointed to regular employment status effective July 1, 2016. D. Letters dated July 11, 2016 from Chief Examiner Winecka to Lateral/Experienced Police Officer candidates Jeffrey Garcia and Cyrus Satarzadeh notifying them that their names have been removed from the Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Lateral/Experienced Police Officer effective July 11, 2016. E. Letters dated July 11, 2016 from Chief Examiner Winecka to Police Officer candidates Tyler Gillette, Christopher Kerwood and Austin Walsh notifying them that their names have been removed from the Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Entry Level Police Officer effective July 11, 2016. F. Letters dated July 11, 2016 from Chief Examiner Winecka to Police Records Specialist candidates Angela DeWitt, Scott Ferrin, Heidi Hicks, Cailin Shovkoplyas, and Ingrid Walker notifying them that their names have been removed from the Police Records Specialist Eligibility List effective July 11, 2016. G. Memos dated July 11, 2016 from Chief Thomas notifying the Commission that Sgt. Phil Johnson will be assigned as Acting Commander from July 7-16 and again from July 24-29, 2016. H. Memo dated July 11, 2016 from Chief Thomas notifying the Commission that Det. Matt Lorette will be assigned as Acting Sergeant from July 12-15, 2016. I. Memo dated July 11, 2016 from Chief Thomas notifying the Commission that Sgt. Andy Kelso will be assigned as Acting Commander from July 17-23, 2016. J. Memo dated July 12, 2016 from Chief Thomas notifying the Commission that Det. Melanie Robinson will be assigned as Acting Sergeant from August 8-11, 2016. K. Memo dated July 12, 2016 from Chief Thomas notifying the Commission that Det. Rick Gilcrist will be assigned as Acting Sergeant from August 15-18, 2016. L. Letters dated July 13, 2016 from Chief Examiner Winecka to Corrections Officer candidates Timothy Borja, Shawn Bradshaw, Allen Cherry, Trent Mahan, Peter Marvin, Sergey Peshkov, and Ashley Zielomsky notifying them that their names have been removed from the Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Entry Level Corrections Officer effective July 13, 2016. M. Memo dated July 18, 2016 from Chief Thomas notifying the Commission that Asst. Chief Eric Hemmen will be assigned as Acting Chief from July 18-20, 2016. 6. Consent Items to Approve: There being no questions, Chair Zaratkiewicz moved to approve Items A and B, seconded by Commissioner Piecewicz. Motion carried 2-0. A. Continuous Testing Eligibility list for the position of Entry Level Police Officer that was established on June 17, 2016. B. Eligibility list for the position of Administrative Assistant I that was established on July 6, 2016. 7. Action Items: There were no action items for discussion. 8. For the good of the order There was nothing further to come before the Commission. 9. Adjournment Commissioner Piecewicz made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Chair Zaratkiewicz. Motion carried 2-0.
