HomeMy WebLinkAboutPK07-050 - Change Order - #2 - Floisand Studio - Town Square Plaza Design - 08/15/2007 KENT W RSHINGT ON CHANGE ORDER NO. #2 NAME OF CONTRACTOR, CONSULTANT, OR VENDOR: Floisand Studio ("Contractor") CONTRACT NAME & PROJECT NUMBER: Town Square Design ORIGINAL CONTRACT DATE: June 18, 2007 This Change Order amends the above-referenced contract; all other provisions of the contract that are not inconsistent with this Change Order shall remain in effect. For valuable consideration and by mutual consent of the parties, the protect contract is modified as follows: 1. Section I of the Agreement, entitled "Description of Work," is hereby modified as follows: Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to: Floisand Studio will prepare the final 70 percent of the permit and construction drawing sets. The permit set will contain the base drawings that are required to obtain a building permit. These drawings include at a minimum the site plan, floor plan, exterior elevations, building sections, wall section, structural drawings and required calculations. The construction set will contain the base permit drawings, as well, as the reflected ceiling plan, interior elevations, and architectural details that are necessary to facilitate construction. Floisand Studio will also provide written specifications, but not a complete bidding manual at the Town Square Plaza in Kent, Washington as shown in the Contractor's Proposal dated August 1, 2007 attached and incorporated as Exhibit A. 2. The contract amount and time for performance provisions of Section II "Compensation," and Section III, "Time for Completion," are hereby modified as follows: Original Contract Sum, $14,245.00 including applicable alternates and WSST. Also, pursuant to the above- referenced contract, Contractor agrees to waive any protest it may have regarding this Change Order and acknowledges and accepts that this Change Order constitutes final settlement of all claims of any kind or nature arising from or connected with any work either covered or affected by this Change Order, including, without limitation, claims related to contract time, contract acceleration, onsite or home office overhead, or lost profits. The parties whose names appear below swear under penalty of perjury that they are authorized to enter into this contract modification, which is binding on the parties of this contract. 3. The Contractor will adjust the amount of its performance bond (if any) for this project to be consistent with the revised contract sum shown in section 2, above. services for the design of the Kent Town Square Facilities Building The following is a change order to complete the final 70% of the Construction Documents and Construction Administration for work related to the Kent Town Square Facilities Building CLIENTS GOALS The Project: Permit and Construction the Kent Town Square Faalities Building which will include bathrooms,mechanical/electncal rooms, and a tank storage room for Kent Town Square Client's Budget: Not to be determined Budget is currently unknown and not to be estimated by Architect Client's Schedule: Client would like to receive the 70%of the Construction Documents and Construction Administration for the amount of$18,875 Fee Structure: The design fees we proposed for the project include Architectural Design, and Structural Engineering and Energy Calculations, and Mechanical Engineering and Waterproofing Consulting They do not include Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cost Consulting, and Landscape Design Compensation for additional items not outlined will be negotiated with the City of Kent Reimbursable expenses related to the project, such as plotting and reproduction of large format drawings,
