Acceptance of Federal Grant
Item -
Motion:
Move to recommend Council authorize the Mayor to accept a Federal
Grant in the amount of $300,000 for the Design Phase of the Central
Avenue South Pavement Preservation Project and direct staff to establish
a budget for the funds, subject to final terms and conditions acceptable
to the City Attorney and Public Works Director.

of the Central Avenue South Pavement Preservation Project. This funding will allow
the City to complete the design and permitting phases of this critically needed
improvement and will make this project more competitive for future funding
opportunities.
This project will repair failing pavement sections and provide a full-width overlay of
the roadway.
Budget Impact:
The City will receive $300,000 of federal funding. The project match will be
$47,821.
