KENT CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP
AGENDA
Tuesday, December 8, 2020
5:00 p.m.
THIS IS A REMOTE MEETING
Due to COVID-19 and Health Safety Requirements,
and by Order of the Governor, this is a remote meeting
The Washington Governor’s Proclamation 20-28.5 suspended portions of the state’s Open Public Meetings Act
(Chapter 42.30 RCW) to account for the need to maintain a safe social distance in light of COVID 19, and to
account for the fact that public access to government buildings and operations have been limited by the State.
At the time notice for the December 8, 2020, Kent City Council Workshop was issued, that proclamation had not
been extended. As a result, the Council Chambers will be opened to the public.
However, Councilmembers and City staff will attend the meeting remotely to maintain public health and safety.
While the public will be permitted to enter the Council Chambers, the public is also encouraged to attend the
meeting remotely. In the event Proclamation 20-28.5 is extended, or the Open Public Meetings Act is otherwise
suspended by the Governor or the Legislature, the Council Chambers will be closed, and the public will not be
permitted to enter the Council Chambers.
In the event the Council Chambers are open for public attendance, individuals will be expected to wear a mask
and engage in social distancing practices by staying at least six feet away from others. If you are not feeling
well, or have symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, shortness of breath, chills or fever, stay home and attend
the meeting remotely.
