Dear Chief Padilla:
This letter will serve as your official written notification of the inmate housing rate increase
for the upcoming year.
This_increase is primarily due to ow decrease in revenue due to the drop in our inmate
population as a result of COVID-tg.
Please see attached the Detention,/Correction rate sheet that has been established for eoet.
Pursuant to the current Inmate Housing Agreement, Yakima County reserves the right to
increase the daily rate with the understanding that they will proviáe your agency ãinety
(so) days written notifìcation prior to said incrèase.

YAKIMA COUNTY
INMATE HOUSING AGREEMENT - 2021
Detentiory'Correction Rates:
Daily Housing:
In consideration of Yakima County's commitment to house City Inmates, the City/County shalt
pay the County a base rate of $85.00 per day per inmate.
Intensive Management Inmates (IMI) who have serious medical, mental health or behavioral
conditions and require special housing or treatment, as determined by the County will be
housed at a rate of $115.00.
Set Bed Agreement:
Due to a limited amount of space, should your agency wish to guarantee a certain number of
beds, a set bed agreement can be initiated.
