The drawings look good. Ok, for a little background. This panel you are building is going into large underground vault. As of last week there was no power at the service for this vault. Once power is established we will run power to the vault and install a small distribution panel. Once I have your panel we'll install that in the vault as well and run dedicated conduits to the valve, pressure transducers, meter, entry switches(s), flood alarm, radio antenna and distribution panel. We'll also need to get an antenna mounted on the telemetry pole and the coax run into the vault. Once that's all completed we'll bring System's in for final start up and testing. This isn't going to happen overnight as there are several projects ahead of this one. Honestly I don't see a start-up until possibly fall. It appears Stephen Morgret and Thor will be in town Monday for another project and I'll give them the PLC components and push button switch. System's will be building and supplying the cabinet and components needed to properly control the valve. The basic programming will also be completed by System's. The component exceptions are the PLC items you delivered to me and a radio modem. The City will put those components in System's hands to be installed in the panel. System's will deliver the panel and City personnel will install it. Once installed System's will provide a day of testing and commissioning. The radio antenna and cable still need to be provided and installed prior to start up. This "hopefully" will be done by our radio vendor Accu Corn. Questions? 1. Will this work by Accu Corn be a change order thru the project or will this be a separate contract with Accu Corn? 2. Will you need a firm quote from Accu Corn for the work to be provided, if it will be a change order? As you are aware none of this can be completed without the electrical service. Here's my input. The new power request was for an underground 100 amp single phase 120/240 service. Please see attached request sent to Mr. Sorensen on April 2nd Since there are no plan details showing the new electrical service that I can see the contractors electrician should be able to determine what is required for equipment, where and how the service/meter panel is mounted and arrange all special requests and inspections with the proper agencies. Three 2" conduit penetrations were requested to enter the vault. One is for electrical, one is for the telemetry antenna coax and the 3rd was slated as a spare to be brought to the surface and placed in a pull box on the east side of the vault. The contractor is suppose to install a 50' high pole near the NW corner of the vault and run a 2" sch 80 conduit from the pole to the vault using one of the conduits that penetrate the vault. The City will then coordinate with its radio contractor to install an antenna and run coax to the vault interior. The City will contract with Systems Interface to build, program, install and commission a control panel for the future operation of the control valve. Start up of the mag meter and initiation of telemetry communications will be coordinated by the City at or near the time the control panel is commissioned. Please let me know if I missed anything or someone has determined a different approach?
