Human Services Manager pointed out that it should not be a new Conunissoner. Commissioner Janet Wilford volunteered. People come to rely on services rather than become self'sufficent. Commissioner Galaz suggested tighter screening of clients. Commissioner Sarff asked what the `` criteria was to receive food from the food bank. Chair Tate suggested a survey of food banks and their criteria to receive food. The agencies that might ask for funds from the County would prove they provided services to Incarcerated persons or their families. The agencies may choose not to apply because the maximum they can receive in$10,000 and the application process can drain program resources. There is no guarantee that the agency will receive funds for services they've already provided.
