5. Rally the Valley
Danielle Butsick walked, chapter-by-chapter, through the Rally the Valley
Subarea Plan document, touching on economics, industry trends, outreach,
urban design, proposed land use and zoning, and proposed development
standards. Gwen Allen-Carston asked about outreach to workers (over 300 of
whom took an online survey), and Joe O'Toole suggested some access
considerations regarding site design standards. Kathi Jones asked about
other cities doing similar plans, and Ms. Butsick described some peer cities
and inspirational plans, although Rally the Valley is somewhat innovative and
does not have any exact equivalents. Two members of the public spoke to

their perspectives in industrial development and the need to not vilify
warehouses.
