FIRST AMENDMENT TO
CONTRACTOR SERVICES AGREEM ENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF KENT AND KAREN POPPLETON
This First Amendment ("First Amendment"), to the Contractor Services
Agreement, dated January 3,2020, ("Agreement") is made and entered into by and
between Karen Poppleton, ("contractor"), and the city of Kent, a washington
municipal corporation ("City"), collectively the ("parties").
RECITALS
The Parties have agreed to modify the Agreement as provided below and to
ratify all acts consistent with the authority of this Amendment prior to its effective
date.
AMENDMENT
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual intent, desire and promises
of the Parties and other good and valuable consideration, the City and Contractor
each agree as follows:
1. Section II of the

performed under this Agreement, upon satisfactory
completion of all services and requirements specified in this
Agreement. The Contractor shall then pay the Citv $2.00
per client.

The Contractor agcepts all
requirements of this Amendment by signing below, by its signature waives anyprotest or claim it may have regarding this Amendment, and acknowledges and
accepts that this Amendment constitutes full payment and final settlement of all
claims of any kind or nature arising from or connected with any work either coveredor affected by this Amendment, including, without limitation, claims related to
contract time, contract acceleration, onsite or home office overhead, or lost profits.
This Amendment, unless otherwise provided, does not relieve the Contractor from

strict compliance with the guarantee and warranty provisions of the original
Agreement.
3, Ratification. All acts consistent with the authority of this Amendment
and prior to its effective date are ratified and affirmed and the terms of the
Agreement and this Amendment shall be deemed to have applied.
4. Remaining Provisions. Except as specifically amended by this
Amendment, all remaining provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and
effect.
The parties whose names appear below swear and affirm that they are
authorized to enter into this Amendment, which is binding on the parties of the
Agreement,

will become effective on the last date written below.
