This week Pro Tow's contract with the City of Kent was terminated, effective on May 8th. As a reminder, tow companies
have a 30 minute response time requirement. lf you have delays in their response time that go beyond 30 minutes feel
free to cancel them and request another company.

RE: Notice of Termination
Dear Keith Lewis
Pro Tow Towing:
On 03/29/20L7 the Kent Police Department had requested your services for
an ¡mpound in the area of 20200 104 Pl SE in Kent. Your driver hooked up
the vehicle and was in the process of towing it to your Auburn lot when he
was stopped by undercover Tukwila Police Detectives. The Detectives
identified themselves by both badges and identification cards and advised
the driver that they were towing a Tukwila Police Detective vehicle and they
would like it released. The Pro Tow driver was unsure of what to do so he
reportedly called the owner to make the decision. At the end of the phone
call Pro Tow decided to tow the Detective vehicle to your lot before releasing
it to the Tukwila Detectives.
In addition to refusing to release the vehicle where the Tukwila Detectives
first stopped your driver, Pro Tow charged the Tukwila Police Department
$185 to get their vehicle back. I talked with Sgt Gurr of the Tukwila Police
Department and he also advised that your driver was rude and
unprofessional at times during thís incident at the tow yard. As a contract
Tow company for the City of Kent I expect a better response towards outside
police agencies than the what happened on 03/29/2017.
Our Towing Protocols and Policies State:
SECTION IIt SUSPENSION FROM TOWING ROSTER OR TERMINATION OF TOWING
CONTRACT
2.7 Termination by Either Party without Cause
As expressly agreed to in the contract between tow company and the Kent Police
Department, the contract between tow company and the Kent Police Department
may be terminated at will by either by the tow company or the Kent Police
Department, without caLrse, by providing the other party with thirty (30) days'
advance written notice.
Based on the above information, as well as the fact that Pro Tow is already
on probation from an incident in 2016, the City of Kent is terminating its
contract with Pro Tow of Auburn and Pro Tow of Maple Valley effective May
