HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001 RESOLUTION NO. 2001
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, repealing Resolution No.
1946, and readopting a fee schedule for the Kent
Corrections Facility Programs and the Kent Police
Department.
RECITALS
A. Through its adoption of Resolution No. 1793 on August 19,
2008, the Kent City Council established a number of fees for the Kent
Corrections Facilities programs and the Kent Police Department. These
fees were established by resolution rather than by ordinance so that the
fees could be adjusted by Council without amending the text of the Kent
City Code. The fees have been amended from time to time, with the latest
revision being implemented on September 5, 2017 through Resolution No.
1946.
B. The Kent Correctional Facility typically offenders convicted
offenders the opportunity to serve their commitments on Mondays,
Tuesdays, or Wednesdays. However, in an effort to better accommodate
offenders, the Kent Correctional Facility has allowed some to serve their
commitments over the weekend, if they wish. While a commitment fee has
been charged of $100 per day, that fee has not been formally incorporated
into the Corrections Facility Program fee schedule. This resolution corrects

that inadvertent oversight. All other fees remain the same as provided for
in Resolution No. 1946.
