ORDINANCE NO. ( q q 9
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, revising the corporate bound-
aries of the City to include right-of-way
on SE 256th from 110th to 113th SE and on
Kent Kangley Road from 111th to 116th SE,
and requesting King County to enact the
Ordinance or Resolution needed to make
the revision effective.
WHEREAS, RCW 35.21.790 provides that the governing
bodies of a county and any city located therein may by agreement
revise the corporate boundaries of such city which coincide with
the centerline of any public street by substituting therefor a
right-of-way line of the same public street so as to fully include
that segment of the public street within the corporate limits of
the city, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kent desires to revise its
corporate boundaries in two locations where said boundaries coin-
cide with centerlines of public streets so as to include the
entire right-of-way of said streets within its corporate bound-
aries, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON,
DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The corporate boundaries of the City of
Kent, which presently coincide with the centerline of SE 256th
from 110th SE to 113th SE, and Kent Kangley Road from 111th SE to
116th SE, are hereby revised and new right-of-way lines are here-
by established so as to include the above referenced segments of
public streets within the City of Kent.
Section 2. The segments of public streets concerned
are described as follows:
A. SE 256th from 110th to 113th SE
That portion of SE.256th Street (a/k/a
Kent -Black Diamond Middle Road) lying
within the east half of the southwest
quarter of the southeast quarter and
lying within the west half of the south-
east quarter of the southeast quarter;
LESS the east 177.11 feet thereof; all
in Section 20, Township 22 North, Range
5 East, W.M., King County, Washington.

B. Kent Kangley Road, 111th to 116th SE
That portion of the south half of Kent-
Kangley Road (a/k/a SR 516) lying with-
in the southeast quarter of the northeast
quarter of Section 29, Township 22 North,
Range 5 East, W.M., King County, Washing-
ton.
Section 3. The Director of Public Works of City of
Kent be and he hereby is authorized and directed to forward
copies of this Ordinance to King County Department of Public Works
and request the County to adopt the Ordinance or Resolution need-
ed to make the corporate revision effective.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law. 1
