2004 - Budget Adjustment - Second Half
ORDINANCE NO. 3 73 3
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Washington,
amending the 2004 Budget for adjustments made between
August 1, 2004, and December 31, 2004, and authorizing a
short term loan from the General Fund to the Housing and
Community Development Fund (CDBG) and to the Golf
Course Fund to cover year-end expenditures.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION]. — BudgetAdjustments. The 2004 City budget is amended to include
budget fund adjustments as summarized and set forth in Exhibit "A," which is
incorporated into this ordinance.
SECTION 2. — Housing & Community Development Fund and Golf Course
Fund — Short Term Loans. There is hereby ratified and established, as part of the 2004
budget, short-term loans from the General Fund to the Housing and Community
Development Fund (CDBG) and the Golf Course Fund in an amount not to exceed
$200,000 each to cover year-end expenditures. These funds may only be used as needed.
SECTION 3. — Severability If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent
jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or
constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance.

SECTION 4. – Ratification Any act consistent with the authority and prior to
effective date of this resolution is hereby ratified and affirmed.
SECTIONS. –Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five
(5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
