An Ordinance of the City of Kent
annexing to said Ctty-certain land
1 contiguous thereto.

WHEREAS, the owners of not less than 75% in value, according

to the assessed valuation for general taxation, of the following

described land situated in King County, Washington, to -wit:

(1)Those portions of Sed;ion 25,Township 22 North,Range 4 east,
W.M., described as follows: Government Lot 2;ALSO Government
6
Lot 3;ALSO Government Lot 4;ALSO Government Lot 16; ALSO
Government Lot 15; ALSO that portion of S. W. Russell
7
Donation Claim in said Section 25 not already in the City and
lying West of the West R/W line of the Chicago, Milwaukee,
St. Paul and Pacific Railroad.
ALSO that portion of the S.W.Ruseell Donation Claim in said

Section 25 not already in the City and lying East of the West
R/W line of the Chicago,Milwaukee,St. Paul and Pacific
10
Railroad and North of the North R/W line of South 258th St.;
ALSO that portion of the Moses Kirkland Donation Claim in
11
said Section 25 lying West of the West R/W line of Chicago,
Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad. ALSO that portion of
12
J.M.Thomas D.C. in Section 25, lying west of west R/W line of
said railroad.

(2)Those portions of Section 36, Township 22 north, Range 4 East,
14 0 W.M.,described as follows: Government Lot 12;ALSO that
portion of the John M. Thomas Donation Claim in said Section
16 36 lying West of the West R/W line of the Chicago, Milwaukee,
St. Paul and Pacific Railroad less; the south. 30t of these
16 two tracts,
(3)That portion of Section 26,Township 22 north, Range 4 East,
17 W.M., described as follows:That portion of the Moses Kirkland
Donation Claim in said Section 26 lying East of the center
18 line of SSH 5-M.
19 (4)ALSO any streets included within the above described lands,
but not specifically described therein.
20 have filed with the City Council of the City of Kent their

petition in writing to have annexed to said City said described land,
22 and
23 WHEREAS, the City of Kent did on the 15th day of January, 1959,
24 fix a time andlace for
p public hearing upon said petition, of
25 which hearing due notice wasublished and
p posted in the manner and
26 form and for the time required by law, and
27 WHEREAS upon said
p public hearing on the 16th day of February,
28 1959, it appeared to the City Council that the said petition
f
29 meets the requirements specified by law, and the land sought to
30 be annexed is contiguous to the City of Kent, and has not heretofore
31 been incorporated in or as a city or town,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN
1.
AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. That there shall be annexed to the City of Kent
2 the following described lands situated in the County of King,
a State of Washington, to -wit:
4 (1)Those portions of Section 25,Township 22 north,Range 4 East
W.M., described as follows: Government Lot 2;ALSO Government
5 Lot 3; ALSO Government Lot 4; ALSO Government Lot 16; ALSO
Government Lot 15; ALSO that portion of S. W. Russell
6 Donation Claim in said Section 25 not already in the City and
lying West of the West R/W line of the Chicago, Milwaukee,
7 St. Paul and Pacific Railroad.
ALSO that portion of the S. W. Russell Donation Claim in said
8 Section 25 not already in the City and lying East of the West
R/W line of the Chicago,Milwaukee,St. Paul and Pacific
9 Railroad and North of the North R/W line of South 258th St.
ALSO that portion of the Moses Kirkland Donation Claim in
10 said Section 25 lying West of the West R/W line of the Chicago,
Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad. ALSO that portion
11 of J. M. Thomas Donation Claim in Section 25, lying West of
West R/W line of said Railroad.

(2)Those portions of Section 36, Township 22 North,Range 4 East,
13 W.M.,described as follows: Government Lot 12;ALSO that
portion of the John M. Thomas Donation Claim in said Section
14 36 lying West of the West R/W line of the Chicago, Milwaukee,
St. Paul and Pacific Railroad; less the South 301 of these
15 two tracts.
It (3)That portion of Section 26, Township 22 north, Range 4 East,
16 W.M., described as follows: That portion of the Moses Kirkland
'!, Donation Claim in said Section 26 lying East of the center
17 line of SSH 5-M.
18 11 (4)ALSO any streets included within the above described lands,
but not specifically described therein.
19 Section 2. That upon the 28th day of February, 1959, the
20
annexation of the said property shall be effective and the said
21
property shall become a part of the City of Kent, subject to
22 all the City laws and ordinances then and thereafter in effect
23 except as otherwise

3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
25 force five(5) days y passage, approval and publication
