An ordinance of the City of rent, approving; the assessment roll for
Local Improvement District .ldo.118,for the improvement of streets and
alleys and other property in Yesler's First Addition to Kent,Car Line
Addition to Kent,Rasmussen's Addition to Kent, and unplatted landd adjoin-
ing said additions,by laying lateral sewers therein for taking care of
the sewage in the said distric�;assessing the amounts thereof upon and
against the lots, tracts and parcels of land shown in said assessment
roll,providing for the collection of said assessment,and creating hocal
Improveinent Fund No.118 in the City `hreasury.
THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF X7,N1' DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No.
118,for the improvement of certain streets and alleys and other proper-
ty located in Yesler's First Addition to Kent,Car Line Addition to bent,
Rasanussens Addition to i.ent, and certain unplatted lands adjoining the
said additions,by laying therein lateral sewers for taking care of the
sewage in the said local improvement district;as the same ha.s been pre-
pared by the City Clerk, and as the same now stands and appears on file
in the office of the said City Clerk,be and the same is hereby approved
and confirmed in all things.
Section 2. That each pa rel, lot and tract of land, and part or portion
thereof nzuned in said assessment roll is found and d eclared to be spe-
cially benefitted by said improvement in an ;mount in excess of the
amount assessed against the same,that there be and there is hereby as-
sessed upon and against each lot, tract and parcel of land,and part or
portion thereof,contained in said improvement district the resepetive
arnounttherein named and set against such lot, tract or parcel of land
and part or portion thereof,between the termini of the said improvement
and abutting upon the same, or adjacent, vicinal or proximate to the said
portions of said streets and alleys so to be improved,or the said impro-
vement,and the said amounts are hereby severally declared a first lien
uponthe lot, tract or parcel of land or part or pn rtion of the same,
upon or ggainst which the same are assessed in said assessr;ient roll.
The aggregate amount of the assessment and levy hereby made upon and
abgainst the property in the said Local I.jiprove cent District No.118, is ,

&ection 3. The sums levied and hereby charged upon and against the
several lots, tracts and parcels of land, or any portion of such sums
may be paid at any time within the thirty day period provided by
section 50 of thapter.-98Yof the laws of Washington for the year 1911
ad thereafter the sum remaining unpaid upon any such lote,tract or
parcel of landmay be paid in five equal annual installmente,as fol"

1 In the collection of the said assessments the treasurer of the•said
City shall proceed as provided by the laws of the state of Washington
and the general ordinances of the said City.
Section 4. There is hereby created in the treasury of the City
of lent a special fund to be known as Local Imp'tWvement Fund No.118,
into which shall be converted all moneys collected from said assess-
ment,and which shall be applied solely to the payment of the cost alRb
expense of the said improvement and the redemption of the bonds,if
any,which shall be issued against the property in the said assessment
and improvement district,and the payment of the interest thereon.
Section 5. Upon the expiration of the thirty day period provided
in section 50 of chapter 98 of the laws of Washington for the year
1911, the city treasurer shall mare and file with the city clerk a
statement of all amounts paid on said assessment, showing the aggregate
of the same remaining unpaid, the correctness of which he shall duly
certify.
