An ordinance of the City of :Kent providing for licensing skating
rinks, and fixing a penalty for its violation.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Before any person shall open up.operate or maintain
within the City Limits of the City of Kent,any room.building,tent
or other structure or place wd th a floor therein to be used asa,
kating rink or skating floor for roller skates or skates of any kind
for the purpose of profit,he shall first pay a license fee to the
City Clerk of twenty five dollre for the first month,and fifteen
dollars per month thereafter,such license to be paid monthly,and
nb license shall be issued for more than one month. Upon receiptof
such license fee the City Clerk shall, it he is satisfied that the
applicant will keep and orderly place issue a license for the main.

be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction shall be fined
in any sum not exceeding fifty dollars or imprisoned in jail not
exceeding 30 days.
