An ordinance prohibiting coasting upon sidevialks and pavements,
ie
THE CITY COUNCIL 01 ThE CI TY OF KENT DO ORDAIL AS FOLLOWS:
Sec tion 1. It shall be unlawful for aiiy person or persons to ride
in or upon any light carriage,wagon, ,cart,sleigh,sled,
or other vehicle,upon any sidewalk or pavement in any street in Kent,
in the manner commonly known as "coasting",or when said carriage,
wagon, ,cart,sleigh,sled or other vehicle is propelled
by gravity or by the momentum of itselS and load.
Sec .2. Any person convicted of the vic>li--tion of any of' the
provi ions of section 1 of this jordinance shall be fined in any
sum not exceeding twG4W-*- ; dollars,alid shell stand ccmmitted until
such fine and costs of slit are paid.
