O R D I N A N C E No.
An ordinance of the City of Kent,fixing the tax levy therein
for the year 1909.
WF=AS,pursuant to the provisions of the laws of Washington,
as set forth in session laws of'1909,cti,apter 138,the City
Council of tr1.e City of Kent,did on. the 16th.day of August A.D.
1909,make an. estimate of the amounts necessary for t1,e public
expense of the said City for.tre ensuing year,and thereafter
caused the said estimate together with a notice of the time
and place of hearing objections to the tax levy therein con-
templated,to be published in tT,e City Official New paper as
by law provided,r_ow on this 4th.day of October at 8 o'clock
P.M.in-the City Hall in said City,the same being the time and
place appointed in the said novice for hearing the objections
to said levy,the said matter comes before the said City coun&1
for hearing,ar_d it apppearing that no objections have been
made or filed,and that no person has entered any objections
to such levy,and that said estimate is proper and co rrect,anct
that the tax levy therein contemplded is necessary for defray-
ing the public expenses of thesaid City for the ensuing year;
THE CITY _-COM i CIL OF THE C I TY OF ICRTT , DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
ection 1. There shall be and is hereoy levied against the
property in t?, -e City of Kent,a municipAL tax for the year
19091for the purposes and in the sums f ollowing,towit:
For the current expense fund,to be used in defraying the gen-
eral expense of the municipal government,Five Thousand Dollars*
For the indebtedness fund,for the purpose of paying bonded
indebtedness,One Thousand Dollars; For the interest fUtd,for
the purpose of paying; interes on bonded indebtedness,Three
Thousand Dollars.
