An ordinance of the Town of Kent, requiring the owner of property in
the town of Kent, to repair property that is in danger of fire because
of defective condition of the same.
r, MP IT 6RDAIM BY TER COUNCIL OF -THE TONT OF KENT:
Section 1. when any building in the Town of Kent shall be in danger
of being set on fire beeause of defective construction,or defective
not necessary to its construction,,
condition,or because of moss or other eombustib�e subptanoenupon the
roof or other portion thereof ,the chief of the fire department shall
notify the owner or his agent in writing specifying wherein such
building is unsafe or defective or wherein sueh danger lies,and requir-
ing him to make such repairs or change in the oonditions,and remeAy such
defects as the said notice may provide,er.d if such owner or agent
shall fail or neglect to proceed at once to repair and better the con-
dition of such building as in said notice deirected,th.e said owner or
agent shall be subject to a fine of not lens than Five Dollars and not
more than twenty* five dollare,for each and every day such violation s
shall contimae after fire days from the date of service of such notice.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in fore* from and after its pas-
sage approval and ptablication e
