An Ordinance authorizing and directing the Ntayor and Town
Clerk to enter into a written agreement with Seattle -
Tacoma Interurban Railway for lighting certain of the
streets and public places of the Town of Kent.
Be It Ordained by the Council_ of the Town of Kent:
Section 1. That the Yayor and Town Clerk of the Town
of Kent be and they are hereby authorized and directed to enter1
into a written agreement with Seattle -Tacoma Interurban Railway
for lighting certain of the streets and public places of the
Town of Kent, which agreement shall be substantially in the fol-
lowing form, namely:

1902, by and between the TOrT OF ANT, a municipal corporation of
King County, State, of 'T=as?lini-;ton (hereinafter called said Town) ,
party of the first part, and SFATT.J ,-TA.COVA INTERUIRBAN RAILWAY, a
Washington corporation (hereinafter called the Company) , party of
the second part, WIT"'PUMFTT!:
1. `Che Company, hereby agrees to furnish for they use of
said Town such number of six (S) ami=are are lights,
an said Town may require for lighting streets and publics
places of said Town, said_ lights to be located by the Company at
such points in -the streets and pu blic. places as said Town may
elect, and to be installed as follows: The first lights

3. In case the Company shall purchase the system of
electric light works now owned by said TOwn after the sale thereof
shall have been duly authorized by the voters of said Town, then,
on the taking of possession of said system of electric light works
by the Company, this agreement shell immediately cease and deter -

Section 2. This ordinance shall be signed by the Mayor,
attested by the Clerk and published once in the "White River
Journal", a newspaper published in the Town of Kent, and shall
take effect when the publication shall be completed.
Passed by the Council of the Town of Kent, by the af-
firmative` vote of �� T� _ Councilmen, at a regular meeting,
this I day of October, 1902.
