An Ordinance of the City of Kent to
approve and confirm the assessment roll
of Local Improvement District No. 238,
created by Ordinance No. 1037, passed
July 6, 1959, and approved July 7,1959,
for the improvement of certain property
in the City of Kent by the construction of
an 8 inch sanitary sewerage system and
accessories thereto, in the streets and
alleys abutting thereon; to levy and assess
the amount thereof against the several lots,
tracts and parcels of land and other property
as shown on said assessment roll, and to
establish a Local Improvement Fund in the
City Treasury.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the assessment roll of L.I.D. 238, for the
improvement of the following described property in the City of
Kent, County of King, to -wit:
All of Block 28, Washington Central Improvement Cots
Knob Hill Addition to Kent, except the east 135 feet
thereof,
under Ordinance No. 1037, passed July 6, 1959, and approved July
7, 1959, as the same now stands, be and the same is in all things
approved, confirmed and adopted as and for the assessment roll
for the said Local Improvement District No. 238.
Section 2. That each of the lots, tracts and parcels of
land and other property shown on said roll is hereby declared to
e specially benefitted by said improvement by at least the amount
charged against the :same on said assessment roll, and that the
ssessment appearing against said lot, tract, parcel of land or
ther property therein is in proportion to the several assessments
appearing on said assessment roll. That there is hereby levied
and assessed upon and against each said lot, tract, parcel of land,

Section 3. That the sums hereby levied and assessed upon
find against the several lots, tracts, parcels of land and other
)roperty, or any portion of such sum, may be paid within thirty
30) days of the first publication of notice by the City Treasurer
hat said roll is in his hands for collection, as provided by law;
hat thereafter the sums remaining unpaid thereon may be paid in
fight (8) annual equal installments, the first o' which shall be

due within one year, together with interest at the rate of five (5)
per cent per annum upon said installment and upon all installments
thereafter to become due.
Section 4. That there is hereby created and established
in the Treasury of the City of Kent a fund to be known as
"Local Improvement Fund No. 238" into which shall be converted all
moneys collected from such assessments and from which shall be
paid all warrants drawn and/or issued against said Local Improve-
ment District in payment of the costs and expenses of said improve-
ment.
Section 5. That upon the expiration of the 30 day period
as provided in Section 3 hereof, the City Treasurer shall make and
file with the City Clerk a statement of all amounts paid on said
assessment, showing the assessment, showing the aggeggbbe
of all amounts remaining unpaid, and shall certify the correctness
of said statement.
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days after its passage, approval and publication
