ORDINANCE NO.
An Ordinance of the City of Kent annexing
to said city certain lands contiguous thereto.
'.'HEREAS, the owners of not less than 7516 in value, according to the
1 assessed valuation for general taxation, of certain lands situated in King
2 County, Washington, and more particularly in this ordinance hereinafter
3 described, have filed with the City Council of the City of Kent their petition
4 in writing to have annexed to said City said described land, and
5 WHEREAS, the City on the 6th day of April, 1959, fixed a time and place
6 for public hearing upon said petition, of which hearing due notice was pub.
7 fished and posted in the manner and form and for the time required by law,
8 and
9 WHEREAS, upon said public hearing on the 20th day of April., 1959, it
10 sppeared to the City Council that the said petition meets the requirements
11 specified by law, and the land sought to be annexed is contiguous to the City
12 of Kent, and has not heretofore been incorporated in or as a city or tow -n,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO
14 ORDAIN as follows;
15 Section 1. That there shall be annexed to the City of Kent the following
16 described land situated in the County of King, State of Washington, to -wit:
17 Lots 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22, Block 1, Federal Highway Addition
as recorded in Vol. 30 of Flats page 1, Records of King County, Washing -
18 ton. The area to include the North half of SSH 1»K on the South and West
half of PSH 1 on the East.

Section 2. That upon the day of rtt , 1959, the annexation of the
20
said property shall be efective and the said property shall become a part of
21
the City of Kent, subject to all of the City laws and ordinances then and
22
thereafter in effect except as otherwise provided by law.

Section 3, That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5J
24
days after its passage, approval and publication as by law pr vide .
