ORDINANCE NO.1c
An ordinance of the City of Kent
vacating street.
WHEREAS, the owners of all of the property abutting the
street sought to be vacated as hereinafter described have peti-
tioned for a vacation thereof, and the City Council of the City cf
Kent having on the 6th day of April, 1959, passed a resolution
setting the time and place for hearing on said petition to vacate,
and it appearing to the Council that due, timely and legal notice
of the pendency of said petition and the time and place for hear-
ing thereon has been given as required by law, and it appearing
that said hearing was opened on the date set therefor, to -wit:
the 4th day of May, 1959, a day more than twenty days and less
than sixty days after the adoption of the resolution for hearing,
and it appearing that the granting of said petition for the
vacation of said street will not be a menace or inconvenience
to the travelling public, or to any other persons using the
streets and alleys in the City of Kent,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DOR
ORDAIN as follows:
Secton 1. That the follwing described street is hereby
vacated:
That portion of the John H. Patton Road right of way in the
NWj of Section 22 Twp. 22 N. R 4 E.W.M., as established by
resolution of the King County Commissioners, dated November 19,
1928,and entered in Volume 248,lying westerly of the westerly
right of way margin of the new Military Road (36th Ave. S.) as
now constructed.
Section 2. That the property hereby vacated shall revert to
and become the property of the abutting owners, as by law provided.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
five days after its passage, appro7z
