An Ordinance of the City of Kent
vacating street.

WHEREAS, the owners of all of the property abutting the

street sought to be vacated as hereinafter described have

petitioned for a vacation thereof, and the City Council of the

City of Kent having on the 6th day of April, 1959, passed a
8
resolution setting the time and place for hearing on said
7
petition to vacate, and it appearing to the Council that due,
8 '
timely and legal notice of the pendency of said petition and
9
the time and place for hearing thereon has been given as
10
11 required by law, and it appearing that said hearing was opened
on the date set therefor, to -wit, the 4th day of May, 1959, a
12
day more than twenty days and -less than sixty days after the
13
adoption of the resolution for hearing, and it further appear -
14
lb ing that the granting of said petition for the vacation of said
street will not be a menace or inconvenience to the travelling
18
17 public, or to any other persons using the streets and alleys
in the City of Kent,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO
19 ORDAIN as follows:

21 Section 1. That the following described street is hereby
vacated:.

That portion of Oak Street, also known as 248th South
23 from the easterly boundary of Primary State Highway No. 1
(U.S.99) to the easterly extension or end of said street.
24 Section 2. That the
property hereby vacated shall revert
26
28 to and become the
property of the abutting owners, as by law
provided.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
28 force five (5) days after its
