An Ordinance of the City of Kent de- 1
claring an emergency, making an appro-
priation and providing for the issue o {
1 warrants for the Police Department Capital

Outlay Fund of the City of Kent.
a WHEREAS, the City of Kent, in its budget for the Police De-

partment Capital Outlay Fund for the City of Kent for the year
5
;1958, made an appropriation to provide for the purchase of a '.
8 ;
radar unit for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, said radar unit was purchased but by error and inad-
8 '�vertence the claim for the cost thereof was not presented,
8 audited and allowed in the year 1958; and

WHEREAS, the City of Kent in its budget for the Police Depart-
11 ,:went Capital Outlay Fund for the year 1959 made no appropriation
12
to provide for the payment for the said radar unit; and
13 WHEREAS, the unit has been received and is in use and
14
";should be paid for; now, therefore,
18 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. That an emergency exists as set forth in the

17 :preamble in this ordiance that could not reasonably have been for-

``seen at the time of the making of the budget for the Police Departr;

19 ;went Capital Outlay Fund of the City of Kent for the year 1959.
Section 2. That it is necessary for the proper operation
20
of the Capital Outlay Fund of the Police Department of the City
21
of Kent that an emergency appropriation be made for said fund;
22
;that the estimated amount necessary to meet such emergency is the
23
i'sum of $1,214.13.

Section 3. That there is hereby appropriated for the
25
Capital Outlay Fund of the Police Department the sum of $1,214.13;
28
that if necessary, emergency warrants shall be issued for said
27
amount or for such portions thereof as shall be needed, such
28
'emergency warrants to bear interest at the rate of 6% per annum
29
from the date of issuance until paid.

Section 4. That the amounts drawn against said emergency

2;'said emergency warrants, if any, shall be included in the tax
3 ',levy for the year 1960, as by law provided.
4 Section 5. This ordinance shall be in effect five (5)
