An Ordinance of the City of Kent vacating
a portion of street
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent did on the 15th
day of December, 1958, declare its intention to vacate a portion
of a street in Block 6, Washington Central Improvement Co's
Knob Hill Addition to Kent, and did set a time and place for
hearing on said resolution of intention, and it now appearing to
the City Council that due, timely and legal notice of the pendency
of said resolution of intention to vacate has been given as
required by law, and it appearing that said hearing was opened
on the date set therefor, to -wit, on the 19th day of January,
1959, and it further appearing that the vacation of the portion
of said street will not be a menace or inconvenience to the
travelling public or to any other persons using the streets
and alleys in the City of Kent,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Kent do
ordain as follows:
Section 1. That the following described portion of the
following described street, to -wit,
The east 12.5 feet of Kennebec Avenue, in Block 6, Washington
Central Improverre nt Co's Knob Hill Addition to Kent, as
recorded in Volume 5 of plats, page 97, records of King
County, lying north of Guibersen Street and southerly of
the southeasterly production of the northeasterly line
of Scenic Way in said City,
be and it is hereby vacated.
Section 2. That the portion of said street hereby vacated
shall revert to and become the property of the owners abutting
on the east side of said street.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days after its passage, approval and publication
as by law provided.
