An Ordinance of the City of Kent
annexing to said City certain lands
E, contiguous thereto.
WHEREAS, the owners of not less than 75 in value, according
to the assessed valuation for general taxation of certain lands

situated in King County, Washington, and more particularly in this
ordinance hereinafter described, have filed with the City Council
of the City of Kent their petition in writing to have annexed

to said City said described land, and
WHEREAS, the City on the 2nd day of March, 1959, fixed
a time and place for public hearing upon said petition, of which
hearing due notice was published and posted in the manner and

form and for the time required by law, and
WHEREAS, upon said public hearing on the 6th of April,
1959, it appeared to the City Council that the said petition
meets the requirements specified by law, and the land sougYt to

'be annexed is contiguous to the City of Kent, and has not
i
heretofore been incorporated in or as a city or town,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. That there shall be annexed to the City of Kent'
!the following described lands situated in the County of King,
State of Washington, to -wit:
,,Gov't. Lot 15 in Sec. 23, Twp. 22 north, Range,4 East, W.M.
ALSO: All that portion of the NW -2- of Sec. 23, Twp. 22 N. R. 4 East
W.M. lying northwesterly of the existing City Limits of the
City of Kent.
"ALSO: Gov't. Lot 1 in Sec. 14 Twp. 22 north, R. 4 East W.M.;
'ALSO: All that portion of Sec. 14,Twp. 22 N.,R. 4 E.W.M. lying
westerly of the existing City- Limits of the City of Kent.
,ALSO: All that portion of Sec. 22,Twp. 22 N., R. 4 E.W.M. lying
easterly of the centerline of Secondary State Highway
No. 5-A and northerly of the existing City Limits of the
' City of Kent.
!ALSO: Gov't. Lots 5, 8 and 9 in t'ie East half of Sec. 15, Twp.
22 N., R. 4 E.W.M.
;ALSO: All that portion of Gov't Lot 10 and Enos Cooper Donation

the existing City Limits of the City of Kent.
All that portion of Gov't. Lots 1 and 2 in the SEI of
Sec. 10, Twp. 22 North, Range 4 E.W.M., lying westerly of
the existing City Limits of the City of Kent
Government Lots 3 and 4 in the SEI of Sec. 10, Twp. 22 north,
Range 4 E.W.M.,
ALSO: All that portion of the SE,—, of Sec. 10, Twp. 22 north,
Range 4 E.W.M. lying westerly of the existing City Limits
of the City of Kent.
ALSO: Tracts 1 through 8 inclusive in Van De Vanter's 10 Acre
Tracts, according to the plat thereof, recorded in Vol. 12
of Plats, page 32, records of King County, Washington.
ALSO: Any streets included within the body of this annexation but,
not specifically described.
Section 2. That upon the day of 1959, the
annexation of the said property shall be effective and the said
property shall become a pat of the City of Kent, subject to
all of the City laws and ordinances then and thereafter in effect
24 except as otherwise provided by law.
25 Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be
five (5) days after its passage, approval and publication;
