1 � ORDINANCE NO.
2 AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and
3 rezoning for land use and development in the
City of Kent, Washington; and rezoning a
4 portion of certain property originally zoned
by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071,
5 as M -A (Industrial -Agricultural ZoningDistrict)
to M-1 (Light Industrial Zoning District) zone.

7 WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City
8 of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning
Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City
8 Council on the 15th day of September, 1960; and
10 WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said
11 certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of
said Ordinance No. 1071 itself was the 3rd day of October, 1960;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended,
the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing
14
before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it
15 was recommended that said land be rezoned from M -A (Industrial -
16 Agricultural Zoning District) zone to M-1 (Light Industrial Zoning
17 District) zone; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the said rezone is in the best
18 interests of the health, welfare and morals of the Citizens
19 of the City of Kent and is consistent with the comprehensive plan
20 of the City of Kent and consistent with good planning; and
WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of theCity of Kent
21 did, upon the 14th day of October, 1969 hold a public hearing on
22 said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands,
23 said public hearing being held after proper notice the3wf; NOW,
THEREFORE,
24 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
25 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
26 Section 1: The following described land, situated in
the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and
27 presently zoned as M -A (Industrial -Agricultural Zoning District)
28 zone and more particularly described as follows:
29 The S 200 ft. of the S 460 ft of the W 196 ft
of the following described property; government Lot
30 12 and that portion of government Lot 11 lying N
of County Road, running E and W at the SW corner
of the John M. Thomas donation Claim #42 and that
31 portion of the W 57 ft of the John M. Thomas
donation Claim #42, lying S of the N line of

1` 36, Twp. 22 1, Range 4 E., W.M., in King County,
2 Washington, except road,
3 is hereby rezoned to M-1 (Light Industrial zoning District) zone.
Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be
