AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington making it illegal to park vehicles
4
at all times on the west side of South
Central Avenue from a point beginning 400
5
feet south of the center line of Morton
Street and extending south therefrom for
6
a distance of 510 feet within the City of
Kent, Washington and which street forms a
7
part of the State of Washington Highway
system; directing the City Traffic
8
Engineer to obtain the ratification and
approval of said actions from the Washington
8
State Highway Commission; ordering the City
Traffic Engineer to supervise the placement
10
of appropriate (No Parking Anytime) signs
on said street; and imposing penalties and
11
fines for violation of the terms of this
Ordinance.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
13 'ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
14 Section 1. Upon the effective date of this Ordinance
15 it shall be illegal to park motor or other vehicles on the follow-
ing described street at any time,said street which is located
16 within the City Limits of the City of Kent, Washington, and which
17 forms a part of the Washington State Highway system, to -wit:
18 South Central Avenue from a point 400
feet south of the center line of Morton
18 Street and extending south therefrom
for a distance of 510 feet.
20 Section 2. The City Traffic Engineer is herewith directed
21 to obtain from the Washington State Highway Commission said
22 :Commission's approval and ratification of the terms of this
Ordinance as required by RCW 47.24.020 of the Laws of the State of
23 'Washington.
24 Section 3. Upon the effective date of this Ordinance,
25 the City's Traffic Engineer shall supervise the placement of
'appropriate "No Parking Anytime" signs on said streets.
26 Section 4. Penalties. Violation of the terms of this
27 Ordinance shall be those as set forth in Kent City Ordinance
28 8.848. 1952 (codified as Chapter 8.34 of the Ordinances of the
City of Kent, Washington).
29 Section 5. Effective date. This Ordinance shall take
30 ;effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and
31 publication as provided by law and once a copy of a communication
,approving the terms hereof from the Washington State Highway

During, its regular meeting on December 15, 1969, the State Highway
Commission approved the following parhint; restriction on State
Route 167 within the corporate limits of the City of Kent, in
accordance with Ordinance No. 1615 adopted by the City of Kent
on October 7, 11j69:
Parking prohibited at all times oil the west side of
SII. 167 from a point 910 ft. south ()f 11,Iorton Street,

Street, llile Post 12.30, a distance of 0.09 mile.
