AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and

rezoning for land use and development in the
City of Kent, Washington, and rezoning a

portion of certain property originally zoned

by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071,

to C-3 (General Commercial Zoning District)

WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City

of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning
9
Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City j
10
Council on the 15th day of September, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said
11
certain land by said Ordinance No.1071 and the effective date of
12
'r' said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960;`
13
and
WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended,'
14
the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing
1
15
before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it
if
j'' was recommended that said land be rezoned from C-1 (Neighborhood
Business Zoning District) zone to C-3 (General Commercial Zoning
17
District) zone; and

WHEREAS, it is found that the said rezone is in the best
interests of the health, welfare and morals of the Citizens of
19
the City of Kent and is consistent with the comprehensive plan
20
of the City of Kent and consistent with good planning; and
21
WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of Kerit
22
did, upon the lst day of July, 1969, hold a public hearing
on said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain
23
lands, said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof;;

j NOW, THEREFORE,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The following described land, situated in
27
the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and presently
28
zoned as C-1 (Neighborhood Business Zoning District) zone and
more particularly described as follows:

That portion of the Henry Adams D.C. in Section
30
36, T 23 N, R 4 E., W.M. in King County, Wash- .
ington, lying E of West Valley Highway, S of
31
So. 180th St., W of 71st Ave. So., and N of
So. 181st St., as now established. AND EXCEPT

that portion defined as follows: Beginning at a

force five days from and after its passage, approval and
