AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and rezoning for land use and development in the City of I:ent, Washington, and rezoning a portion of certain property originally zoned by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as M --A (Industrial -Agricultural District) zone to P-1-1 (Light Industrial District) zone. WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City Council on the 15th day of September, 1960; and WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960; and WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it 16 was recommended that said land be rezoned from M -A (Industrial - 17 Agricultural District) zone to M-1 (Light Industrial District) 18 zone; and 19 WHEREAS, it is found that said rezone is in the best 20 interests of the health, welfare and morals of the Citizens of 21 the City of Kent and is consistent with the comprehensive plan 22 of the City of Kent and consistent with good planning; and 23 WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of Kent 24 did, upon the 7th day of July, 1969, hold a public hearing 25 on said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain 26 lands, said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof; 27 NOW, THEREFORE, 28 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO 29 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 30 Section 1. The following described land, situated in the 31 City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and presently 32 -1_ N VOL 11.6 FACE 133 (Industrial -Agricultural D ri )r�Zone ,.nd more ,i.i 1 , 4' .. 2 particularly described as follows: 10 3 Commencing at the West 1/4 o§Z tJon V 1, T22N, R 4E., W.M., th N 89°57' E along the center line of 4 said Section 1 a distance of 1342.20 ft.;, th.-N-aQ0 J. ft. to the True Point of Beginni,q� thTntinixing N 5 1020 ft. more or less to the Nor Tine 'of7e SVd4G.Fy�`72 of the NW 1/4 of said Sec. 1; th � 1lr along §aid 6 N line 176.60 ft; th S 1020 ft.; th N 89°57' E 181.90 ft. more or less to the True Point of Beg.inning;:'other- 7 wise desc. as Tract 1 of the unrecorded plat:f'�©f f Acres (unrec.). ) 8 is.hereby rezoned to M-1 (Light Industrial District) zorEp", 8 Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be and he 10 11 is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the Comprehen- sive Planning Map of the City of Kent, or upon an addendum thereto, 12 13 the zoning of said property as provided for in Section 1 of this Ordinance. 14 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon the 15 16 Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent, or upon an adden- 17 dum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed with 18 the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City Clerk 19 of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King County 20 21 and pay the filing fee therefor. Section 4.
