AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, amending Section 2 of Kent City Ordinance
1588 (March, 1969), pertaining to life insurance
benefits for fulltime City employees.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2 of Kent City Ordinance No. 1588, passed the 17th
day of March, 1969, which reads as follows:

"Section 2. All present fulltime City employees pre -
8 sently covered by $5,000.00 life insurance which benefit is
paid for by the City of Kent, shall from and after the
9 effective date of this Ordinance continue to enjoy that
benefit until said program is changed by subsequent Ord -
10 inance."
11 is hereby amended to read as follows:
12 "Section 2. All present fulltime City employees presently covered
13 by $5,000.00 life insurance, which benefit is paid for by the City of Kent,
14 shall from and after the effective date of this Ordinance continue to enjoy
15 that benefit until said program is changed by subsequent Ordinance, provided,
16 however, this Section shall not preclude any such fulltime City employee from
17 receiving additional life insurance benefits paid for by the City of Kent after
18 six (6) years of employment with the City of Kent, pursuant to Section 3 of
19 Ordinance No. 1588.
20 Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)
21 days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
