1 ORDINANCE NO. !� J
2 AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and
rezoning for land use and development in the
3 City of Kent, Washington, and rezoning a
portion of certain property .originally zoned j
4 by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as
amended, as R-3 (Multiple Family Residential)
5 zone to R-4 (Multiple Family Residential) zone.
6 WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the
7 City of Kent By Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning
8 Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City
9 Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and

10 WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said
11 certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of
12 said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960,

13 and
14 ( WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended,;
15 the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing
16 before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it
17 was recommended that said land be rezoned from R-3 (Multiple Fam-
18 ily Residential) zone to R-4 (Multiple Family Residential) zone,
19
and
20 WHEREAS, it is found that said rezone is in the best
21
interests
of
the
health,
welfare and morals
of the Citizens of
22the.
City
of
Kent
and is
consistent with the
comprehensive plan of

the City of Kent and consistent with good planning,,and
WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of
it Kent did, upon the 21st day of April, 1969, hold a public hearing
on said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands.,
said publichearing being held after proper notice thereof, NOW,

Section 1. The following described land, _situated in i

the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and j

2 ''particularly described as follows:
3 Lot 9, Block 1, Walmsley's Addition to the
City of Kent, as recorded in Volume 45 of Plats,
4 page 15.

is hereby rezoned to R-4 (Multiple Family Residential) zone.
Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be
Band he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the
',iComprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent, or upon an adden-
�dum thereto, the zoning of said property as provided for in Sec-
tion 1 of this Ordinance.
Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon
jthe Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent, or upon an
addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed
with the Countv Auditor of Y.ing County, Washington, and the City
,Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and
;',directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King
County and pay the filing fee therefor.
C.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
;force five days from and after its passage, approval and publica-
tion, as provided by la:r' �'A `�.
