8 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, amending Kent City Ordinance 1470
(July, 1967), deleting Article 13 0£ the
4 n.\ Fire Prevention Code recommended by the
"`�'�' American Insurance Association; and further
adding a new Section to Kent Ordinance
5 No.'1470, adopting by reference the October,
1966 revision of the Fire Prevention Code,
recommended by the American Insurance
Association.

8 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:

10 Section 1. Section lof Kent City Ordinance 1470 (July, 1967)
11 is hereby modified by deleting from the Fire Prevention Code recommended by
12 the American Insurance Association, Article 13 thereof, pertaining to fire
works.

Section 2. There is hereby adopted by the City of Kent, Wash-
ington for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions
15
16 hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion, that certain 1966
17
revision of that certain code, known as "the Fire Prevention Code", recommend-
ed by the American Insurance Association (division VI 6, Service Stations of
18
18 Article 16, Flammable and combustible liquids) save and except such portions as
20 are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended by Section 7 of Kent City
21 Ordinance 1470, of which revised code not less than three (3) copies have been
22 and now are filed in the Office of the Clerk of the City of Kent, and the same
23 are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein and
24 from the date on which this Ordinance shall take.effect, the provisions thereof
shall be controlling within the City Limits of the City of Kent.

Section 3. Referring to Section 2of this Ordinance, the

provisions thereof shall be construed and in all respects enforced in conjunc-
28 tion with all other portions of Kent City Ordinance No. 1470 (July, 1967.)
29 Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
30 five (5) days from and after its passage, a roval and publication as provided
by law.
