ORDINANCE NO. 1670
An Ordinance of the City of Kent,
annexing into the City of Kent certain
real property owned in fee by said City,
for municipal purposes.
WHEREAS, certain real property (more fully described
hereinafter) is owned in fee by the City of Kent and
WHEREAS, the City of Kent is utilizing said real
property for the municipal purposes of water shed, water
collection and treatment facilities, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent,
pursuant to RCW 35.13.180 of the laws of the State of Wash-
ington, after study and discussion, have, by majority vote,
found that it is in the best interest of the health and welfare
of the citizens of the City of Kent in order to give the City
of Kent full dominian and control over said municipally owned
and operated utilities located on said municipally owned real
property,
NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of Kent
do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That the following described real property.
situated in an unincorporated area in the County of King, State
of Washington, and which is owned in fee by the City of Kent,
is, pursuant to RCW 35.13.180 of the laws of the State of
Washington, hereby, upon the effective date of this Ordinance,
annexed into the City of Kent, to -wit:
The S 1/2 of Section 26, Township 22
North, Range 6 E.W.M., located in
King, County, Washington
Section 2. The purpose of this annexation is to
give the City of Kent full dominion and control over the
municipally owned and operated utilities located on said
municipally owned real property.

Section 3. That upon passage, approval and publica-

tion in due and regular form of this Ordinance, the City Clerk

� is hereby directed to cause this Ordinance to be recorded in

i4 the Office of the County Auditor of King County and pay the
5

recording fee therefor.

!� Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and it
7
jj is necessary for the health and welfare of the citizens of the

City of Kent that this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
9
force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor
10
and the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington.
