ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, providing for a life insurance pro-
gram to be paid for by the_City of Kent for
all Kent City Department heads and fulltime
employees.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All City of Kent Department heads, present-
ly covered by $10,000.00 life insurance which is paid for by the
City of Kent, shall from and after the effective date of this Ord -
finance continue to enjoy that benefit until said program is
changed by subsequent Ordinance.
Section 2. All present fulltime City employees present
ly %, covered by $5,000.00 1ife insurance which benefit is paid for
by the City of Kent, shall from and after the effective date of
this Ordinance continue to enjoy that benefit until said program
changed,by subsequent Ordinance.
Section 3. With the exception of presently employed
Department heads and presently employed fulltime employees, the
City of Kent shall hereafter pay for a life insurance policy for
new City employees, with the exception of Department heads, bases
upon the following schedule:
A.
$1,000.00 life
insurance
after
six months
of
employment;
B.
$2,000.00 life
insurance
after
two years
of
employment;
C.
$4,000.00 life
insurance
after
four years
of
employment;
D.
$6,000.00 life
insurance
after
six years
of
employment;
E.
$8,000.00 life
insurance
after
ten years
of
employment.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by
