HomeMy WebLinkAbout1545- 1 ORDDINANCF INTO. ,J AN ORDINANCE, relating to planning and zoning +, for land use and development in the City of 3 Kent, Washington, and zoning pursuant to Kent City Ordinance No. 1071, as anended, certain h7 land annexed to the City of Kent as unzoned as �- R-3 (Multiple Family Residential) zone. 5 r WHEREAS, certain land hereinafter described was annexed Q to the City of Kent unzoned, and 7 WHEREAS, as required by Kent City Ordinance No. 1071, as 8 amended, the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington, after 9 referral to and study by the Planning Commission of the City of 10 Kent, recommended that said land be zoned as hereinafter set forth, 1.1 and 12 WHEREAS, it is found -that said zoning is in the best 13 14 interests of the halth, welfare and morals of the Citizens of 15 the City of Kent and is consistent with the comprehensive plan of 16 the City of Kent and consistent with good planning, and 17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent did upon 18 the 7th day of October, 1968, hold a public hearing on said 19 recommendation insofar as it related to said certain land, said 20 public hearing being held after proper notice thereof, NOW, .- 21 THEREFORE, 22 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO 23 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 24 Section 1. The following described land situated in 25 the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and pre - 26 sently unzoned, more particularly described as follows: 27 That portion of the NE 1/4 in Sec. 29, T22N, R 5 E. , W. M. in King County, Washington defined 20 as follows: Beginning at the SE corner of the Plat of East Hill Gardens, Volume 51, Page 77 29 of Plats in King County, Washington; thence North along East line of said Plat 23.44 ft. to the 30 True Point of Beginning; thence continuing North along said East line to the South margin 31 of SE 256th St.; thence East along said South margin 481.40 ft.; thence South 421.60 ft.; thence 32 .East 481.40 ft. more or less to the True Point of -1- 1 Beginning. EXCEPT the North 160 ft. of the East 220 ft. thereof. 2 and That portion of the NE 1/4 in Section 29, T22 3 N, R 5 E. , W.M. in King County, Washington defined as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of the 4 Plat of East Hill Gardens, Recorded in Volume 51, Page 77 of Plats in King County, Washington; 5 thence East along the South margin of SE 256th St. 481.40 ft. to the True Point of Beginning; 6 thence South to a point which lies 180 ft. North of Kent-Kangley Hwy; thence East 162 ft; thence 7 South to the North margin of said Hwy; thence Southeasterly along said margin to the Centerline 8 of said NE 1/4; thence North along said Centerline 658.52 ft; thence N 8505811311 E to the Centerline 9 in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 in said Section; thence North along said Centerline in said NE 1/4 10 of NE 1/4 to the Southmargin of said Street; thence West 90 ft; thence South 132 ft; thence West 11 180 ft; thence North 132 ft; thence West along 12 South margin of said Street 898.82 ft. more or less to the True Point of Beginning; EXCEPT the follow - 13 ing: Beginning at the most Southerly point of the above described parcel; thence tdorthwestedy along the 14 North margin of said Hwy. 113.41 ft. to the True Point of Beginning; thence continuing along said 15 Northerly margin 147.43 ft.; thence North 150 ft.; thence East 130 .ft; thence South to the True Point 16 of Beginning. and 17 That portion of the E 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 in Section 29, T22 N., R5E., W.M. in King is County, Washington, defined as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of said subdivision; 19 thence S 110914011 E along the East line of said subdivision 200 feet to the True Point of Beginn- 20 ing of the tract herein described; thence continu- ing S 1009140" E along said East line 117.00 feet; 21 thence S 89037151" W parallel with the North line of said subdivision 402.15 feet; thence N 0009135" 22 E 116.99 feet; thence N 89037131" E 399.46 feet to the True Point of Beginning; EXCEPT the East 23 30 feet thereof heretofore conv to King County for road by deed recorded under Auditor's File No. 24 4768139. 25 is hereby zoned as R-3 (Multiple Family Residential) zone. 16 Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be 27 and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the 28 comprehensive planning map of the City of Kent or upon an adden- 29 dum thereto, the zoning of said property as provided for in 30 Section 1 of this Ordinance. 31 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon 32 the comprehensive planning map of the City of Kent or upon an -2- 14, 1 addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed 2 with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City 3 Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and 4 directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of 5 King County and pay the filing fee therefor. 6 Section 4.
