1 ORDINANCE NO. �=
2 AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and zoning
for land use and development in the City of
3 Kent, Washington, and zoning pursuant to Kent
City Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, certain
4 land annexed to the City of Kent as unzoned as
R-4 (Multiple Family Residential) zone.

WHEREAS, certain land hereinafter described was annexed
6
to the City of Kent unzoned,, and
7
WHEREAS, as required by Kent City Ordinance No. 1071, as
8
amended, the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington, after
9
10 referral to and study by the Planning Commission of the City of
11 Kent, recommended that said land be zoned as hereinafter set forth,
and
12
13 WHEREAS, it is found that said zoning is in the best
14 interests of the health, welfare and morals of the Citizens of
15 the City of Kent and is consistent with the comprehensive plan of
16 the City of Kent and consistent with good planning, and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent did upon
18 the 16th day of September, 1966, hold a public hearing on said
19 recommendation insofar as they related to said certain land, said
20 public hearing being held after proper notice thereof, NOW, THERE -
21 FORE,
22 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
23 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
24 Section 1. The following described land situated in
25 the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and present -
26 ly unzoned, more particularly described as follows:
27 The South 500 ft. of the East 296.25 feet of
the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 20, T2 2 N, R
28 5E9 W.M. in King County, Washington; Exc ept the
portion lying within SE 256th Street.

Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be and

he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the

I comprehensive planning map of the Cit_w Of'.Cent or upon an addendum
`' thereto, the zoning of said property as provided for in Section
3 1 of this ordinance. to
4 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon the
5 comprehensive planning map of the City of Kent or upon an addendum
6 thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed with the
7 County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City Clerk of
8 the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and directed to
9 record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King County and
10 pay the filing fee therefor.
11 Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
12 force five (5) days from and after its
