salary, social security and retir-ement
5 benefits for a Kent Recreation Director
for the balance of the year from May, 1968

$ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KEMT, t^IASHINGTON DO
9 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
10 Section 1. That in order to meet salary and expense
11 requirements for a Recreation Director for the balance of fiscal
12 year 1968 from Iiay, 1968 through December 31, 1968 it is necessary;

13 to appropriate funds therefor at this time which have not been.
14 budgeted for in the Budget of the City of Kent for fiscal year

16 Section 2. That an emergency exists due to the
17 situation as set forth in Section 1 of this Ordinance that could
18 not reasonably been foreseen at the time of the preparation of
19 the budget for the year 1968; and, therefore, there is at this
20
time as
necessary to sustain the proper operation
and
effeciency
21
of the
Park and Recreation Department for fiscal
year
1968
22 emergency apvropriati ons herewith made of hour Thousand Mine
23 I3undred and Thirty hour Dollars ($4,934.00) for salary and Two
($217.10)
24 !'!' Hundred Seventeen Dollars 8 Ten Cents,`or O.A.S.I. contributions,
25 and Sixtv-one Dollars and Twelve Cents ($61.12) for
26 retirement contributions to meet said emergency from May, 1968
27 through December 31, 1968 and that if necessary emergency
23 warrants shall be issued for said amounts or for such portion
29 thereof as shall be needed, such emergency warrants to bear intere$t
30 at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum from the date of

2 Section 3. This Ordinan

4;passage shall require the vote of one more than the majority of
5 all members of the City Council and be approved by the Mayor.
g 4 Section 4. Any taxpayer may appear at the meeting at
7 which this emergency Ordinance is voted- upon and be heard for or
8 against the adoption thereof.
9 Section 5. This Ordinance shall be voted upon at the
30 L regular meeting of the Kent City Council in the Council chambers
