2 !' AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington estab lishing a cumulative reserve
3 fund and procedures for expenditures there-
from for the planning and acquisition of
4 recreational areas and facilities for the
City of Kent in accordance with the provisions
5 ; of RCW 35.21.070.
6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
7 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
8 Section 1. A cumulative reserve fund is hereby estab-

E; lished and funds therefrom may be expended as authorized by the
Mayor and City Council of the City of Kent for planning, acquisi-
tion and development of sites and building of improvements, tot
lots, play grounds, playfields, parks, athletic fields, and such
I other recreational areas as are determined necessary and desirable
by the Mayor jand City Council of the City of Kent.

Section 2. The monies in said fund shall be allowed to ?'
accumulate from year to year, until the Mayor and City Council
i7 shall determine to expend the monies in said fund for the pur-

18 poses herein specified, provided that any monies in said fund shall
19 + never be expended for any other purpose or purposes than those

20 i; specified, without an approving vote by a majority of the electors
21 j of the City of Kent at a general or special election, voting on a
22 3' proposal submitted to the electors to allow other specified uses
23 bi to be made of said fund. :.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and

25} effect five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
26 publication as required bylaw.
