ORDINANCE NO.1'
AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and
rezoning for land use and development in
the City of Kent and rezoning a portion of
certain property originally zoned by the
City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as
amended, as R-1 (Single Family Residential)
and/or R-3 (Multiple Family Residential) zones
to MHR (Mobile Home Residential) zone.
7 WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City of
Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning Ordin-
ance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City Council!
10 on the 15th day of September, 1960, and I
14 WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said certain;

land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of said

Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960, and

WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended,

j the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing

16 before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it
17
was recommended that said land be rezoned from R-1 (Single Family
6� Residential) zone and/or R-3 (Multiple Family Residential) zone

to MHR (Mobile Home Residential) zone, and

20 WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of Kent
21 did, upon the 2nd day of January, 1968, hold a public hearing on
22 a said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands,
23said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof,
24 NOW, THEREFORE,
25 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
26 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The following described land, situated in
the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and pre -

29 sently zoned as R-1 (Single Family Residential) zone and/or R-3

30 (Multiple Family Residential) zone and more particularly des -
31 cribed as follows:

Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be and

Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon the

14Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in

force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
