AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and zoning
for land use and development in the City of
3 Kent and zoning pursuant to Kent City Ordinance
No. 1071, as amended, certain land annexed to
4 the City of Kent as unzoned as C-3 ( General
Commercial Zoning District) zone.

6 WHEREAS, certain land hereinafter described was annexed
7 to the City of Kent unzo.ned:, and
8 WHEREAS, as required by Kent :City Ordinance No. 1071,
9 as amended, the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington,
10 after referral to. and study by the Planning Commission of the
11 City of Kent, recommended that said land be zoned as hereinafter
12 set forth, and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent did upon
14 the 19th day of June, 1967, hold a public hearing on said
15 ' recommendation insofar as they mlated to said .certain land,
16 said public hearing being held after proper notice .thereof,
17 NOW, THEREFORE,
38 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN AS
19 FOLLOWS:
20 Section 1. The following described land situated in
22 the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and
22 presently unzoned, more particularly described as follows:
23 That portion of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 in,
Sec. 20, Twp. 22N, Range 5 E., W.M., described
24 as follows: Beginning at the SW corner of said
subdivision of Sec. 20; thence S 2014147" W 30
25 ft to the S line of SE 156th St; thence S 88138100"
E along said S line 500.23 ft; thence N 2014147"
26 E 60 ft to the true point of beginning; thence
continuing N 211414711 E to a point which lies
27 503.60 ft S of the N line of said subdivision;
thence. S 88038100" E 200 ft; thence S 2014147"
28 W 771 ft to the N line of SE 256th St; thence
S 88038100" E 200 ft to the true point of
29 beginning,
30 is hereby zoned as C-3 General Commercial Zoning District) zone.

1 j Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be
2 and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the
3 comprehensive planning map of theCity of Kent .or upon an addendum
4 thereto, the zoning of said property as provided for in Section 1
5 of this Ordinance.
6 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon
7 the comprehensive planning map of the City of Kent or upon an
8 addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed
9 with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City
10 Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hei4eby authorized and
11 directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of
12 Kin_ g County and pay the filing fee therefor.
13 Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
14
five days from and after its passage, approval and
in force
