1 ORDINANCE NO.
2 AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and
rezoning for land use and development in
3 the City of Kent and rezoning a portion of
certain property originally zoned by the
4 City of Kent by Ordinance. No. 1071, as
amended, as R-3 (Multiple Family Residential)
5 zone to R-4 (Multiple Family Residential)
zone.

WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the
7
City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning
8
Ordinance for theCity of Kent, Washington," passed by the City
9
Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and
10
WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said
11
certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date
12
of said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October,
13
1960, and
14
WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended,
15
the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing
16
before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it
17
was recommended that said land be rezoned from R-3 (Multiple
18
Family Residential) zone to R-4 (Multiple Family Residential) zone,
19
and
20
WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of th eCity of Kent
21
did, upon the 5th day of June, 1967, hold a public hearing on
22
said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands,
23
said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof,
24
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
25
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The following described land, situated
27
in the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and
28
presently zoned as R-3 (Multiple Family Residential) zone and
29
more particularly described as follows

2 additions to Kent.

is hereby rezoned

R-4 .(Multiple

2.
The
City Engineer of
the City of
Kent be

5 and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the
6 Comprehensive;.Planning Map of the City of Kent, or upon an addendum
7 thereto the zoning of said property as provided for in Section 1
8 of this Ord,inance,.
9 Section 3. That :upon said amendment being shown upon
10 the Comprehansive'Pl:anning Map of the City of Kent, or upon an
11 addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be
12 filed with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and
13 the City Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized
14 and directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor
15 of Kiang .County and pay the filing fee therefor.
18 Section 4. This Ordinance shall take .effect and be in
17 force five days from and after its passage, approval and publica-
18 tion as providedby law.
